2024 Highlights

Ottone in Villa

Logan Williams has performed in his final full length opera with Carnegie Mellon University in Vivaldi's Ottone in Villa performing the role of Decio in February. Logan additionally performed in Opera Excerpts in April from Donizetti's Lucia and Verdi's Rigoletto.

Logan Williams Solo Recitals

Logan Williams has given multiple recitals in the past year. His first solo recital took place on March 1st at Kresge Theater, and his second solo recital was performed at Rodef Shalom October 28th. Both recitals, showcased music from Schubert, Puccini, and Tom Lehrer.

Aria412 Performances

Logan Williams has performed in the Aria412 2024 season. Logan plans to collaborate with Aria412 to perform a number of Classical, Operatic, and Broadway works with various themes throughout 2025. Aria412 will be performing live at Hop Farm Brewing with a Facebook livestream. Check out Aria 412 on their Facebook page.

Carmina Burana Africana

Logan Williams performed with the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh as a chorister in Carl Orf's Carmina Burana featuring a special dance group from West Virginia.

Logan Williams Graduation (May)

Not every highlight of 2024 needs to be a performance, as Logan Williams has officially graduated Carnegie Mellon University with his Masters in Vocal Performance (M.M.). Logan is currently continuing his studies at Carnegie Mellon University in pursuit of an Advanced Musical Studies Certificate (AMSC) focusing on Oratorios. Logan is expected to graduate with his AMSC in May 2025.

Opera Lucca

Logan Williams spent his summer working with two fantastic opera companies, the first being Opera Lucca. Logan spent time learning Italian, exploring the vast and rich culture of Italy, and performing several great works. These included opera scenes with works from Mozart, and Rossini, world premiere pieces of music, and ending with a performance of Gianni Schicchi by Puccini. Logan played the role of Rinuccio. This was a very special performance as it was performed on the centennial of Puccini's death in his hometown.

Chicago Summer Opera

Logan Williams dedicated his summer to collaborating with two incredible opera companies, including the Chicago Summer Opera. While in Chicago, he worked alongside numerous talented musicians and vocal coaches to refine his skills, culminating in a performance of Mozart's Don Giovanni, where he portrayed Don Ottavio.

Pittsburgh Pirates National Anthem Singer

Logan Williams was selected to perform in a quartet for the Pittsburgh Pirates for their annual CMU day in September. Logan (Tenor) performed alongside fellow CMU students Allen Adair (Bass) Izzy Houye (Alto) and Nazmee Kamal (Soprano).​​​​​​​

Hansel and Gretel Performances

Since November, Logan Williams has taken on the role of the Witch in multiple productions of Hansel and Gretel. These performances, in partnership with Pittsburgh Festival Opera for Tots, being showcased at various elementary schools in Pittsburgh and nearby communities from November 2024 to May 2025. This role has proven to be the most enjoyable for Logan among all their performances this year.

Performing in Pittsburgh Opera Chorus

Logan officially accepted his first professional AGMA contract with Pittsburgh Opera. Logan performed as a chorus member for Pittsburgh Opera's performance of Cavalleria Rusticana and Pagliacci double feature in early November. He additionally was a soloist in Pagliacci with the role of Peasant 2, which was highlighted in a public article.  

Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland

Logan participated in multiple performances at Carnegie Music Hall in 2024. In September, he was part of the Chorus for an orchestral staging of Adrianna Lecouvreur. Furthermore, he was featured as the Tenor soloist with the Carnegie Mellon University Chorus and the CMU Philharmonic in Part 1 of Handel's Messiah, performing "Comfort Ye" and "Ev'ry Valley" in December. He was also a guest in a live radio interview on WQED discussing the Messiah with Jim Cunningham.
